Fiat Piccadilly Motors Ltd

Many of the current Piccadilly team started at Wakefield over eighteen years ago. In 1993 Simon Watts spearheaded a management buyout of the Wakefield dealership. At the time the company employed 14 people, today this has increased to nearly one hundred at our three Dealerships, now also located in Ripon and Knaresborough.

Turnover has also increased from 2.5 million pounds in 1993 to today’s figure of around 30 million pounds. Piccadilly’s expansion included Alfa Romeo and Fiat in Knaresborough, which started trading in November 2000 from the old premises. In early 2005 they moved into brand new facilities on the site, covering the Harrogate market for both brands. Prior to this most recent acquisition Piccadilly opened its doors for business in Ripon, North Yorkshire, back in 1995, again representing the Fiat Brand.

Selling nearly 3,000 new and used cars and vans a year from the three locations Piccadilly have developed a strong relationship with the Manufacturer. These volumes are achieved through their strength to offer ultra competitive deals and the huge choice of new and used Fiat and Alfa Romeo stock and fiat light commercial range available to the customer. Piccadilly also have a large number of loyal customers, who continue to do business with them.

Piccadilly’s huge knowledge of the product within both sales and after sales service is built on their commitment to training and retain good staff. After sales is a big part of the business, employing over 20 factory-trained technicians, all of them working from ultra modern facilities with the latest diagnostic equipment. Piccadilly servicing costs are amongst the most competitive in the industry, this has naturally improved retention of the customer running the older vehicles requiring MOT testing.

Over the years Piccadilly have achieved many national awards for excellence in business, the most recent was Fiat Dealer of the year. Piccadilly also has a real commitment to the local community and their adopted charity the Candlelighters; a Yorkshire based charity dedicated to help support children with cancer or serious blood disorders and their families, whilst at the same time promoting research into childhood cancer. To date Piccadilly are proud to have raised in excess of £30,000 for this tremendous cause.
